After laptops, Realme will launch Android tablets in India

Earlier today, we receive confirmation that you will enter the segment of the next laptop. Shortly after, some new tweets suggest that the company is also being prepared to launch tablets in the Indian market.

Towards the beginning of this year, Realme announced that it would launch more than 100 products in 2021 and create an ecosystem of connected devices. That meant entering many of the new categories of new products, apart from the usual tunstation of smartphones, headphones and users.

In a series of tweets, the CMO, Francis, Realme India, spoke about the tablets as a segment and even asked the followers to suggest names. On the last tweet, he added a survey, asking users to select between “Tab de Realme” and “Realme Pad” as the name of the next tablet. At the time of writing this article, both are tied to 50% of the votes each.

The entrance to the laptop and the tablet space is probably driven by the increase in content consumption, remote work and learning in India, which have led the segments to exhibit strong growth during the last year.

For your single-range tablet, we hope that Real will launch an affordable and mid-range device. India does not have many offers in this space, with the most popular options that come from Samsung and Lenovo, along with some state-of-the-art products of Huawei and Honor. Even Xiaomi has withdrawn from the slate spear.

In particular, no other brand under the BBK group (OPPO, Vivo, Oneplus) has launched a tablet or a laptop, which has historically been a good starting point to know how a product could be a product.

The fall in the demand for tablets was also due to the increase in the size of smartphones, which represents a slightly larger device with fewer redundant capacities for most users. But with the market about to hit the inflection and much less competition, RealMe could potentially arise as a winner in the tablet market.
