Rare’s everwild has been “completely restarted”, and he will spend some time before we give ourselves, according to a new report.
New IP Everwild was revealed by rare in X019, but, after the release of two trailers for the title, the developer has been quite tight with respect to the Xbox Exclusive since then, with everwild remarkably absent from the Xbox games sample and Bethesda in E3 2021.
According to a VGC report, this is because Everwild has been restarted with a new creative director and a tentative goal of the 2024 launch window, with the initial design of the game “started from scratch”.

VGC reports that the Everwild team had been struggling to define “a clear direction for the title”. After the departure of the Creative Director Simon Woodroof of the project last year, the rare veteran Gregg Mayles has been brought since then to lead the development of Everwild.
As a result of this leadership change, the game has been restarted in Mind 2024.
“The team behind Everwild continues to shape a truly magical experience and remains focused and excited to create a new game focused on a truly unique world,” said Break Executive Producer Louise O’Connor, in a VGC statement.
“Gregg Mayles joined us, at the end of last year as creative director, and the team has never been stronger, given that showing the world our eternal trailer, we have been progressing in all aspects of Everwild.
“The team continues to work hard to make our vision and bring the magic of nature in Everwild to life for players around the world.”
The adventures in the seas in the meant,
While it seems that the players will not embark on a trip to Everwild soon, it is not the only rare degree that is currently working. The sea of the pirate adventure of the thieves continues to grow, having an ambitious crossover with the Caribbean pirates announced during the Xbox and Bethesda Games showcase in E3 2021.
The sea of thieves crossed 20 million players earlier this year, since the game came to its third anniversary since it was launched in March 2018.
Rare has officially confirmed that Everwild has been restarted, but we hope you get some kind of update on the development of the exclusive Xbox in the near future.
